Safety on Wheels is Back

Centerville’s premier bicycle event for kids took a year off during the pandemic, but it’s back in full force for 2022.

The Noon Optimist Club of Centerville, in combination with the Centerville Police Department and Bike Centerville, is promoting youth bicycle safety in the community by sponsoring Safety on Wheels Bike Rodeo. This free event will be held on the upper deck of the Miami Valley Hospital South parking garage on Sunday, May 15, between 1:00pm and 4:00pm.

Children of all ages are encouraged to bring their bicycles and attend the fun and educational event. In cooperation with the Centerville Police Department and Miami Valley Hospital South, volunteers will be performing bicycle registration and bike safety checks before the children take off on the fun obstacle course in the parking lot of Miami Valley Hospital South.

Bicycle helmet fittings will be offered and free helmets will also be available for those without a helmet or a broken or ill-fitting helmet.
